GOMI Workshops

GOMI provides professional development community-based stewardship (CBS) workshops and opportunities for formal and informal educators throughout the GOM watershed.  Included is an annual three-day residential conference which brings together US and Canadian educators, researchers, students and policymakers to learn and share how top steward the Gulf and its watershed,  PBE promotes learning experientially rooted in the community – the unique history, environment, culture, economy, literature and art of place.  GOMI emphasizes civic engagement, the act(s) of doing something concrete and beneficial to improve, understand, remedy or protect.
